Currently, people might worry about the release of BPA (Bisphenol A) from polycarbonate. In recent years, a number of researchers from government agencies, academia and industry worldwide have studied and found that the potential migration of BPA into food is extremely low, generally less than 5 parts per billion, under conditions typical for uses of polycarbonate products. FDA also stated that BPA is safe at the current levels occurring in foods, based on its most recent safety assessment.
