Job purpose
- Manage the Group’s Finance and Accounting functions with emphasis on organization, systems, and processes as well as team development and trainings.
- Produce financial and accounting reports, as well as monitor and execute the developed and approved strategies.
- Supervise, develop, and train the Finance and Accounting teams, ensuring increased efficiency and effectiveness, including enhancing the decision-making ability.
- Provide complete, accurate and timely deliverables, updates and follow-ups to the Chief of Finance and Operations, including ad-hoc support and assignments.
- You may be required not only to perform on behalf of the Company but from time to time, to also perform work on behalf of any of the Group Companies i.e., parent company, any one of the associated and related companies.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage and work with the Finance and Accounting teams, including timely reviews monthly of financial accounting and management reports, analysis, and risks assessments. In addition, ensure timely preparation and provision of appropriate and relevant information needed by the Chief of Finance and Operations, Management, Board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients.
- Ensure accounting and financial reports are prepared in accordance with the rules and regulations, including tax compliances and reporting requirements. In addition, where necessary, liaise and work with the auditors and tax agents to ensure, at all times, compliances requirements are strictly adhered to.
- Implementation, continuous reviews, and improvements as well as preparation and maintenance of finance and accounting processes and systems, including relevant SOPs documentation as well as related controls.
- Continuously monitor the company’s performances, including OKRs achievements, where anomalies, if any, are timely communicated with mitigations in place. In addition, involvement in the preparation and analysis of the company’s budget, forecasts as well as participation to periodic reviews of finance and operational results.
- Closely liaise with bankers, lawyers, company secretary, as well as any designated parties, when requested.
- Supervise, develop, and continuously improve the Finance and Accounting teams.
- Responsible for the updating and maintaining the ERP system, finance & accounting policies, procedures, controls, and SOPs.
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required by the Chief of Finance and Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting
qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.) with 8 – 12 years’ experience in similar capacity.
Having tenured with major/mid-sized audit and accounting firms will be advantageous. - Sound finance and accounting knowledge and experiences
- Professional, responsible, and tactful
- Adaptable with some exposure to projects and change management
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving experiences, including attention to details
- Some experiences in finance transformation and digitalization, including knowledge of major ERP system would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Working conditions
Although Finance and Accounting Manager works primarily in an office environment during
business hours, during peak periods or when dealing with month end closings, you may need to
work much later hours to successfully complete the job tasks.
